Rules and Recommendations for the 2010 CAM Grants Documentary Proposal Contest:
The CAM Grants Proposal Contest is designed to help us hear the great ideas that are out there, and help motivate people who haven’t had time to put together a proper proposal. It is open to all members of camgrants.org, and since membership is free, the opportunity is available to everyone.
* Contest starts May 1st, 2010, and ends June 15th, 2010. All proposals must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM, June 15th, 2010. Winners will be announced July 1, 2010.
* All proposals will follow the format outlined under our "Create Proposal" Menu option in the Proposals area. Check out "Sample Proposals" to see what a proposal entails. Proposers must abide by "Terms of Use" as specified by CAM Grants LLC
* Proposal winners can’t be related to, or family members of the judges.
*To submit a proposal you must be a member of camgrants.org (membership is currently free)
* A trailer is not required for the contest, although it is recommended. A promotional image is required. The trailer or promotional image can’t contain copyrighted material without written release. The trailer can be up to 2 minutes long.
* The prizes are as follows: 1st place = $500, 2nd place = $250, 3rd place = $150, and $100 for peoples choice. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes are awarded by the Camgrants judges. The peoples choice prize is chosen by our members via a poll on our forum. The peoples choice competition will run from June 15th to July 1st, and will feature all of the submitted proposals.
* If we only receive 9 or less entries into the contest by June 15 th, 2010, the contest will be canceled, HOWEVER, each entrant who has completed an accepted proposal will receive $100, and all proposals will be featured on the site.
* Some proposals may require online registration with the American Writers Guild
before they can be posted at the discretion of the Proposal Editor.
